Character name: Roxas
Character age as of canon point (As best as is known): 1 year of existence, but appearance/behaviour 16 years old or so/complicated/unsure
Canon format (Anime, manga, video game, live action TV, novel, web comic, etc.): Video Game
Name of canon: Kingdom Hearts
Canon point: Kingdom Hearts 2 (mid game, right after the prologue/tutorial after he goes back to Sora)
Is the canon point more than 6 months old in the US as far as you know?: Yes
If not, as best you know it, US release date of the canon point: n/a
Please list and explain the three worst (morally) things your character has ever done: 1. technically, axed one of his best friends (Xion), though his hand was forced and he did not mean to do it/enjoy doing it (I’m counting guilt over the action a bit as well). 2. Fought and at least THOUGHT he destroyed Axel even after remembering him, again, kind of self defence, but also counting how guilty he is over this one. 3. I’m going to umbrella things he did (like helping fill kingdom hearts) that he didn’t know were bad, but he also didn’t really question. Number three is the way he went along with things he was told without question. (it’s a stretch but this gave me a lot of trouble idk why)
Please list and explain the three best (morally) things your character has ever done.: 1. Sacrificed himself so Sora could wake up. 2. Was loyal to Xion even when the Organization was trying to turn them against each other. 3. Gosh darn it, I’m counting the struggle tournament, the scene where the four of them celebrate and hold up the crystals gets me every time.
Please put the six things above on a timeline relevant to each other: Not questioning instructions, loyalty to Xion, fought Xion, won the struggle tournament, fought Axel, went back to Sora.
Do you consider your character a hero, an anti-hero, a good aligned side kick, a bystander, a victim, a fence sitter, a mercenary, an evil aligned side kick, a villain, or something else? Why?: Mostly a hero, a little bit a victim. I would say up to the point I pulled him, he’s somewhat of a tragic hero. He tries his best, but circumstances are not on his side, he has to do some bad things, but he tries to be good.
Do you think your character should start on the Isle or in Auradon? Why?: Realistically, probably Auradon? Though I think he might feel if asked that he should be on the Isle. Not necessarily that he’d say that, but I feel like he subconsciously at this point is questioning what is good and if he is good. Based aside from his own unaddressed/acknowledge feelings on the matter, and only on actions, probably I’d lean towards Auradon.
Which of those two would you prefer your character to start in?: The Isle, the angst potential is impeccable.
Are you still interested in having this character in this game at this time if that preference is not met?: 100%
Powers and Abilities: Two Keyblades (Oath keeper and Oblivion), general keyblade wielder abilities (though he is not trained much, he does have some of Sora’s memories on that though), KH universe magic (I headcannon he’s not very good at it though, aside from gameplay, he’s almost never seen using magic), light magic (above and beyond regular kh magic, Roxas has powerful light based finisher, limit, and basic attacks), generally is an agile and powerful physical fighter, almost forgot dark corridors (though that’s mostly irrelevant I think)
What clothing/items did your character arrive with? (See rules and FAQ for what is allowed, feel free to ask if you are unsure): His organization cloak and other clothes he wears under it (pants, boots, shirt, gloves). Two potions, a high-potion, an elixir, and a moogle coin (I will assume some if not all of these will not function as in game). A blue palm-sized crystal ball. A pouch with 200 munny.
Optional- What do you have to keep in mind when playing this character?: At any given time his number 1 priorities are Axel, Xion, or possibly sea salt ice cream. He’s still figuring out emotions and how to name/recognize them in himself and others. I’ve always rolled with the idea that he doesn’t need to eat/sleep the same amount as normal humans, though I don’t know if that’s explicitly canon.
What mod candy, if any, does your character bring? (Aka what elements would you really like to see us play with?): I’m always living for some good angst. His codependent friendship with Axel and Xion is everything to me.
